Colin Gabler is a Dean's Fellow and Associate Professor of Marketing at Auburn University's Harbert College of Business. Before arriving on The Plains, Colin spent 9 years at Ohio University, where he was Director of the Center for International Business and the Global Consulting Program. He is also a Fulbright Scholar (2020-2021). Colin earned his Ph.D. (2013) from the University of Alabama, his M.A. (2007) in creative writing from Wilkes University, and B.A. (2003) in marketing from Lycoming College. The quote on his home page illustrates his take on how to live life both inside and outside of the classroom. Prior to academia, Colin spent five years in the nonprofit sector, finding time to coach basketball and write for an entertainment magazine. Most importantly, he met his wife, Kathleen, who is a plant biologist by day, and a chef, singer, artist, and gardener by night. Outside of the classroom, you can find Colin strumming guitar, cooking, hiking, playing tennis, working on home renovations, doing logic puzzles, or hanging out friends. He loves to travel to faraway places, but his favorite activity is relaxing by the pool with Kathleen enjoying Auburn. Oh, and he and Kathleen adopted a mini Aussie-doodle named BB who rounds out their happy family. |

It's no exaggeration to say that Colin loves sports. While he used to play them, now he mostly watches them. Occasionally though, he gets the opportunity to return to form. For instance, he was called upon to throw out the first pitch at a Southern Ohio Copperheads game in July 2018. Watch him paint the inside corner on the left. Below, check out his puppy, BB, getting ready to attend the game.
